Silver Birch Boulevard and Godding Hollow Parkway Intersection Improvement

About the Project

The intersection of Silver Birch Boulevard and Godding Hollow Parkway was recognized as a Tier-2 Short Term project in the Transportation Master Plan (TMP), which are intersections identified for operational improvements and widening for high priority turn lanes.

The Town Engineering Department, building upon adjacent development that will be responsible for the installation of the ultimate roadway half-section west of centerline on Silver Birch Boulevard and south of centerline on Godding Hollow Parkway as well as a $150,000 contribution to the construction of the future traffic signal, has moved forward to complete the ultimate design of this intersection.

The Silver Birch Boulevard and Godding Hollow Parkway intersection improvement recommendation calls for the installation of additional auxiliary acceleration and deceleration turn lanes as warranted, striping, signage and new traffic signals. Also included will be the installation of new ADA curb ramps sidewalk connections and pedestrian crossing controls for increased multimodal public safety for the area in the vicinity of the Legacy Elementary School. Finally, improved drainage infrastructure including curb and gutter.
