There are 11 schools in the Carbon Valley area including preschools, charter schools, elementary schools, a K-8 and Frederick High School.

Safe Community

The Frederick Police Department is proud to have a very active Neighborhood Watch program that opens the lines of communication between the police department and the residents it serves. Go fishing with your favorite police officer at the annual Fishing Clinic or stop by a K9 demonstration at one of our many events throughout the year because in Frederick, the police department fosters great relationships with community by being involved and informative. You’ll feel like you’re on a permanent vacation with all of the opportunities Frederick provides to enjoy time with your family. Dust off the bikes to take advantage of Frederick’s ever-growing trails system and stop off at a park (we’ve got lots of them and they each have a playground!), the rec center (they have a pool with slides, a lazy river and kids play area!) or one of our events like the weekly Frederick Market (fresh at your fingertips every Thursday June through September!) in Downtown Frederick.

Get Involved

Frederick is full of doers who roll up their sleeves not just for themselves but for others, and you can join them by getting involved in the Town’s volunteer program or advisory commissions and committees. There are also opportunities to be a part of other organizations in the community including the Carbon Valley Rotary, The Frederick High School Booster Club or other school PTA/PTO groups, to name a few.
