Via Mobility Services
Via is a free transportation service for Frederick seniors (age 60 or better) and people with special abilities. Vía provides services in the community for individuals who are unable to drive due to age, health, disability, or income. Via’s mission is to promote independence and self-sufficiency for people with limited mobility by providing caring, customer-focused transportation options.
Who can use this service?
- Frederick residents ages 60 and older and people with special abilities.
- People with a temporary disability may also use Via.
When can you use this service?
- Via operates Monday through Friday from 8 am to 3 pm.
How do you get started?
- The first step is to register for the service! Sign up here to answer a few questions and get in the Via system.

Carbon Valley Senior Center provides free and low-cost educational and enrichment activities, services, and special events for people age 55+ and better. Look for a wide variety of fun and engaging programs that foster social engagement, lifelong learning, and support to help you age well and enjoy life.

Friendly Fork Senior Lunch Program
The Friendly Fork Senior Lunch program provides nutritious and delicious lunches for seniors at the Carbon Valley Recreation Center (701 Fifth Street). Lunches are served at noon every Tuesday and Thursday or seniors can reserve a to-go meal to take home.
Reservations are required and must be made by 11 am the prior business day by calling the Carbon Valley Senior Center at 303.833.2739 or Weld County Friendly Fork at 970.346.6955. Please leave your name, the number of meals requested, and your phone number. You may also email that information to the Carbon Valley Rec Center or the Friendly Fork. Meals may be picked up on Tuesdays and Thursdays at noon.

SilverSneakers® Fitness class - The Carbon Valley Recreation Center is an authorized fitness facility that offers a variety of SilverSneakers® classes. Be sure to check out their website for information about SilverSneakers® and other fitness classes
Snow Buddies Volunteer Snow Removal Program - Snow Buddies is a volunteer program that matches volunteers with older adults who need help clearing their driveway and sidewalks after a snowstorm. If you are an older adult who needs help clearing your sidewalk and driveway after a snowstorm, call the Carbon Valley Senior Center at 303-833-2739. We are also recruiting volunteers to assist our community’s seniors with snow removal.
