Can you spare a little time to help out an older adult? The Snow Buddies Volunteer Snow Removal Program at the Carbon Valley Parks & Recreation District needs your help! Snow Buddies is a volunteer program that matches volunteers with older adults who need help clearing their driveway and sidewalks after a snowstorm. Chances are, there is someone in your neighborhood who could use a hand with snow removal. To sign up as a recipient or as a volunteer, please call the Carbon Valley Recreation Center at 303-833-3660 X 117 or email the Carbon Valley Park & Recreation District.

Please note: the facility is currently closed due to Covid-19 restrictions. In compliance of Covid-19 restrictions, The CVPRD Active Adults programs has suspended all in-person programs at the senior center.  Look for a number of seasonal Drive-In (parking lot) activities, SilverSneakers classes and virtual programs.  SilverSneakers and other fitness opportunities are available at the Recreation Center and The Studio. We look forward to reopening and resuming our normal activities at the Senior Center as conditions change. 

Carbon Valley Friendly Fork Senior Nutrition Program (*curbside pick up only)

The Weld Senior Nutrition program, also known as the Friendly Fork, provides nutritious and delicious lunches for older adults 60+ every Tuesday and Thursday at 11:30am in Carbon Valley. This program is for adults ages 60 years and older and there is a $4 suggested donation.  Reservations and cancellations are required and must be made in advance by 11 am the previous business day. Call 970.400.6955 or email to reserve your meal.

*In order to comply with Covid-19 Health Department orders, meals are curbside pickup at 11:30 am in the Carbon Valley Senior Center parking lot (6615 Frederick Way) until further notice.

The Parking Lot Party start time is noon in the Senior Center parking lot (6615 Frederick Way). Parking lot parties are free! Don’t forget to sign up for lunch ($4 suggested donation) by making your lunch reservation by 11am one-day prior. Call 970.400.6955 or email to reserve your meal.

Virtual Classes and Talks

A variety of monthly online classes, workshops and talks are offered.  Interested in getting information?  Call the Carbon Valley Recreation Center at 303.833.3660 to get on our email list and receive the Active Adults newsletter.  

SilverSneakers® Fitness class

The Carbon Valley Recreation Center is an authorized fitness facility that offers a variety of SilverSneakers® classes at the Studio (8350 County Line Rd, Suite 170) next to Dairy Queen. Be sure to check out their website for information about SilverSneakers® and other fitness classes. Class size limited and you must pre-register at least one week prior to class. Call 303.833.3660.
