Development Review Process

All types of development within the Town of Frederick must go through a development review process. This process is outlined in the Land Use Code.  

Public Improvements and Utility Construction

Unless adequate public improvements and utility services are already in place, all development must have construction plans for them. These can be approved as part of the development review process. If the Board approves, they can also be approved after the land use approval. Public improvements must be constructed and accepted by the town before a building permit is issued for residential development. The same process must be followed before a certificate of occupancy is issued for commercial or industrial development.
