This program is an exclusive benefit for Frederick residents. We appreciate your participation in keeping our community clean and organized during the holiday season!
Holiday Tree Recycling
Don’t forget to dispose of your live tree properly during the holiday season! Starting Monday, December 22, 2025, through Friday, January 30, 2026, you can drop off your tree at 602 Maple Street inside the fenced area on the southeast corner of Eighth Street and Maple Avenue, near the entrance to Centennial Park (630 8th Street). Please place trees behind the secured area—no trees on the sidewalk or outside the fence. Remember, live trees only! Please remove all plastic bags, tree stands, decorations, and lights!
Block Party Permit
Get out and enjoy the community with your neighbors by having a block party! The Town has a simple process for requesting a permit and barricades for your event. Block parties are for neighbors on a block and not intended for private parties or advertised public events.
Calendar Photo Contest
The "Built on What Matters" Calendar needs your photos! Each year, the Town runs a contest for pictures of Frederick that we'll put into a calendar. This free calendar is distributed to Frederick residents and businesses. Check out more details about the contest submit your photos.
Community Grant Program
The Town can provide both direct financial support from its Oil Royalty Trust Fund and some kinds of in-kind support (i.e., police, Public Works assistance, etc.) to which a monetary value is assigned. The Town Board of Trustees award grants based on the applicant meeting the basic requirements of the application and the merits of the project, as described in the form. The Town wishes to provide assistance for programs, events or projects that contribute to the positive image of the Town of Frederick and provide opportunities for informal education, community building and family entertainment.
The Town strongly encourages applicants to speak with the Town Clerk, who processes the applications for the Board, before completing and submitting an application. The Town Clerk can answer questions and help ensure the application is appropriate for Board review and complete.
Community Camera Program
Help solve crime in your area! The Community Camera Program allows residents and businesses to share the location of their video surveillance system with the Frederick Police Department. Video cameras are increasingly being used in residential and commercial properties to prevent crime and memorialize events as they occur. The Frederick Police Department Community Camera Program is a voluntary partnership with residents and businesses to help solve crimes in the Town of Frederick.

Santa Cops
One of our best-loved community programs, Santa Cops, is the perfect opportunity to give back to the community. Businesses, residents, civic organizations, and the Frederick Police Department come together to support families and ensure the kids have a fulfilled holiday season.
If you want to volunteer, “wrapping day” is Wednesday, October 11, at 9:30 am. You can get involved by making a monetary donation or volunteering to wrap gifts. Please contact the Frederick Police Department at 720.382.5700.
Once all the presents are wrapped, the families are invited to the Frederick Police Department to get their gifts and meet Santa!
