Thanksgiving Dinner in a Box
Thank You!
On Monday, November 21, the Town of Frederick, Carbon Valley Help Center, Frederick High School Student Council, and Rocky Mountain Christian Church came together to provide 120 families in need with a complete Thanksgiving Dinner In A Box. Special thanks to the folks who donated food and money and to Oxy for sponsoring this year’s pie program!
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Each year we come together for our “Thanksgiving Dinner In A Box” community program! The Town of Frederick, Frederick High School Student Council, Carbon Valley Help Center, Rocky Mountain Christian Church, and the Weld County Food Bank partner each year to provide dinner to those in need. We aim to donate a complete “Thanksgiving Dinner in a Box” to at least one hundred families in the Carbon Valley. How can you help? Nominate a family in need, drop off specific food items from the list or donate money for pumpkin pies, butter, and rolls.
Three Ways To Help
1. Nominate a family in need to receive a box by filling out the online application form below.
2. Donate cash/check to purchase perishable items. Go to the Administrative Services Office at 311 Fifth Street.
3. Donate specific food items to fill boxes (see list below for progress on our goals):
• Canned yams/sweet potatoes
• Instant mashed potatoes
• Salt & Pepper in shakers
• Gravy mix
• French Fried Onions
• Canned cranberry sauce
• Brown sugar
• Canned corn
