Miners Day is our premier community event that originated as a celebration to honor and remember Frederick’s mining heritage. This annual event features family-oriented fun and entertainment throughout the day including a parade, burro race, vendors, food trucks, activities, contests, and live entertainment. Per tradition, Miners Day will conclude with a spectacular evening concert and fireworks display.

The parade will head west on Tipple Parkway, then turn south on Oak Street to Fifth Street. Then the parade will turn east on Fifth Street to Locust Street. Finally, the parade will turn south on Locust Street and end at Centennial Park (630 Eighth St.). Complete the Parade Application to participate.

We could not do this event without volunteers! We need help with event set-up, parade, burro race, booth set up, and more. If you would like to spend the day honoring Frederick's mining heritage and serving your community, this is your opportunity. It's all hands on deck for our biggest event of the year. Browse open positions on our Volunteer Portal and sign up if you can lend a hand. Your participation will make a significant difference!
Market vendors have the opportunity to participate in our signature events during a vendor market at the event! To be considered a market vendor, you must fit into one of three categories (Grower/Producer/Food, Artisan/Crafter, or Non-Profit) and complete the Market Vendor Application. If your business doesn’t fit into one of these three categories, you can still participate in the event as a sponsor!
There are many opportunities throughout the year for food vendors (food trucks, food booths, etc.) at Town events. Complete the Food Vendor Application to see available opportunities and be considered for our events.
