Skate Park Lighting Improvements - Completed

About the Project

Town Staff have completed the installation of additional lighting controls at the Frederick Skate Park. These new controls include push buttons that require users to engage them every hour while the park is in use, and its dark outside. The purpose is to allow the lighting system to turn off when the park isn’t in use.

  • System will allow the lights to turn off if they aren’t being actively used
  • Will slightly reduce light pollution to surrounding neighborhoods
  • Will increase security of the area
