Located at the entrance to Downtown Frederick. Crist Park is named after James M. Crist, a prominent citizen of Frederick and Mayor from 1961 to 1964. Crist Park is home to the Miners' Museum, Memorial Wall, "Daddy's Home" and the "Centennial" art pieces.
Amenities within Crist Park include a playground, picnic area, gazebo, splash pad and a sports field.
The Crist Park splash pad is weather dependent and operational during peak summer months. The interactive water feature is typically on from early June through late August. When the splash pad is working, step on the yellow dome on the edge of the pad to activate water features.
Crist Park is the location for Frederick events such as Tiny Terror Town in October and the Festival of Lights in December.
Crist Park hosts a gazebo and two small picnic shelters, available for rental as a group. Crist Park Shelter Reservations
