graphic to announce Economic Development Week 2022

National Economic Development Week 2022 is May 9 through May 13. To celebrate, we joined up with the Economic Development Council of Colorado (EDCC) and Upstate Colorado to showcase our vibrant community.

We have created a five-part video series explaining Frederick's Economic Development focus. Each day, we will release an informative video on our social media channels (Facebook and Twitter), capturing the day's theme. The video series is available now on our YouTube channel.

Video 1 - Monday, May 9: Economic Development Players
Did you know that in 2021, the Town of Frederick created its own Economic Development Office? In this video, meet Assistant Town Manager Ryan Johnson and Economic Development Manager Max Daffron, and learn about their roles in supporting Town services for local businesses. We would love to show you all that Frederick has to offer!

Video 2 - Tuesday, May 10: Share the Vision
In the summer of 2021, the Board of Trustees adopted a long-term strategic plan for the Town of Frederick. One of the plan's major components is an increased focus on the community and economic vitality of the Town. Learn more about the creation and adoption of the 25/52 East Subarea plan, how a retail study will help the Town align its economic development efforts to attract businesses, and our vision to revitalize Fifth Street in Downtown Frederick!

Video 3 - Wednesday, May 11: Cultivating Vibrant Economy
The Economic Development office in the Town of Frederick has taken concrete steps to develop a business-friendly atmosphere in our community. In addition to partnering with the SBA, Colorado Enterprise Fund, and other business assistance organizations, the Town has created a menu of resources for our businesses to access and take advantage of, including a robust incentive program. See examples of these programs in action in video 3!

Video 4 - Thursday, May 12: Growing Local
Being 'Built On What Matters' means that Frederick recognizes the role our local businesses play in cultivating our Town's economic health and livability. Video 4 highlights Brigit's Bounty Community Resources, FCI Constructors Inc, Stapp Interstate Toyota, and Stevinson Lexus of Frederick. We are fortunate that these businesses choose to support Town events and make Frederick a great place to live!

Video 5 - Friday, May 13: Measuring Success
Throughout the last several years, the Town of Frederick has experienced significant growth. To stay ahead of the curve, the Town has created an Economic Development office with a dedicated staff of two professionals committed to the continued economic prosperity of Frederick. Video 5 dives into the stories of two significant industries, Golden Triangle Construction, Inc. and Hirsh Precision Products, Inc., who have relocated their headquarters to Frederick.

Frederick is a community that fosters economic, recreational, cultural, and environmental vitality and builds upon and enhances various economic opportunities. Therefore, National Economic Development Week is the perfect opportunity to increase awareness about our efforts in economic development, highlight local businesses, and celebrate success stories.
