Update: Double Fatal Vehicle Accident in Frederick, CO
Frederick Police Department is leading an ongoing investigation.
FREDERICK, Colorado (September 22, 2021) – The Frederick Police Department is leading the ongoing accident investigation that killed two people on a motorcycle on Tuesday evening. On September 21, the Frederick Police Department responded to a crash involving a motorcycle and a truck near the Bella Rosa Golf Course on Colorado Boulevard around 7:30 p.m.
A female driver, age 24, driving a 1999 Chevy Silverado Pickup, was heading northbound on Colorado Blvd. and struck a northbound 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle with a male driver, age 54, and female passenger, age 24, in the 8500 block of Colorado Blvd. The female passenger of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene. The male driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead after being transported and admitted to a local hospital. The female driver of the pickup truck remains hospitalized.
The Firestone Police Department and Frederick-Firestone Fire Protection District were also on scene to assist the FPD.
Colorado Boulevard (CR 13) between Godding Hollow Boulevard (CR 18) and Pine Cone Avenue (CR20) reopened at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 22.
Frederick Police Department Investigating Fatal Vehicle Accident
FREDERICK, Colorado (September 21, 2021) – On Tuesday, September 21, the Frederick Police Department responded to reports of a crash involving a motorcycle and a truck near the Bella Rosa Golf Course on Colorado Boulevard around 7:30 p.m.
There has been one confirmed fatality at the scene. Two individuals were transported to local hospitals with critical injuries. The accident is being investigated as a possible alcohol related incident.
Colorado Boulevard (CR 13) is closed in both directions between Godding Hollow Boulevard (CR 18) and Pine Cone Avenue (CR20).
The Weld County Coroner's Office will identify victims and notify the next of kin. At this time, officers are still investigating the cause of the crash.
