August 1, 2020: According to a study by AdvisorSmith, the Town of Frederick is the safest city in the State of Colorado. Using crime data published by the FBI, AdvisorSmith researched the safest cities and towns in Colorado. The study ranked 83 Colorado towns, 34 midsize cities, and 11 large cities.
Frederick is ranked as the safest midsize city with 10,000 to 100,000 residents. The Town of Frederick has the lowest proprietary crime score out of all of the cities researched in the study, making us the safest midsize city as well as the safest city statewide. According to Advisor Smith, we also have "spectacular views of the Rocky Mountains, along with numerous parks and open spaces."

The business insurance website ranked Centennial as the safest large city, with a population of more than 100,000 and Wray the safest town in the state with fewer than 10,000 residents.
