The Town of Frederick is updating its Parks, Open Space and Trails (P.O.S.T.) Master Plan to guide improvements over the next ten years. We know that parks, trails and open space are essential to your health and play a vital role in the community.
The POST Master Plan update will be developed through a multi-phase planning process that obtains input from Town staff, community members, and other leaders who are committed to improving and expanding Frederick’s parks and recreation experiences. The process is anticipated to last approximately eight months and result in the adoption of the new Master Plan.
Frederick is updating our community’s Parks, Open Space, and Trails Master Plan, the guide to how we provide parks and facilities and connect places for the next ten years. We are working to incorporate feedback received from the community in both surveys as well as in-person events into the draft plan. Watch for the draft plan to be presented.
Thank you for participating in our online prioritization exercise. Your efforts will help shape the recommendations in the Master Plan. Two hundred community members provided us with their preference of what projects they'd like to see funded.
Thank you for taking the survey! We received 305 completed surveys. We appreciate your time and feedback helping us identify what is needed to establish a vision for the future.
The Plan Update kicked off in March 2020 and will conclude in late 2020. We want to hear from you! All opportunities to provide input and review updates will be posted here, so check back regularly.
