Event Details


The 5th annual DIY Day will feature four hours of non-stop do-it-yourself action! This year's event is all about the outdoors, nature and wildlife. The event will include a plethora of informal do-it-yourselfers showing off skills and tricks at individual booths. We are partnering with the Carbon Valley Regional Library to put on this awesome community event. DIY Day will take place in conjunction with the Frederick Fishing Clinic . Please plan on parking in the Safeway parking lot and crossing Colorado Blvd via the traffic signal and crosswalk to get to the event. 

Food


Come hungry! The Teal Taco food truck will be onsite from 8 am - noon. They will be serving breakfast and lunch items.

2019 Activities 



  • The outdoors are calling and the team of experienced riders from Tri-City Cycle are ready to get you there. Check out and if you are 18 and over, test drive an ATV. Our 2019 "Expert Sponsor" will be on site to handle all your adventure needs!
  • Stop by the 'Ohana Montessori Preschool ocean themed tent and make a popsicle stick fish. Get to know with this local school!
  • Learn how to make your own chicken coop out of "found" items. Recycle to create your own inexpensive backyard habitat for your chickens. This activity is hosted by Iris Valley Farms. Follow up with them this summer at Finale Fridays!
  • Brigit's Bounty will be on hand to help you create seed tape. Learn how to make spacing and planting easier with tiny seeds.
  • DIY Creations from Loveland will be on site with a hands-on family project. Learn more about this social crafting tavern providing unique opportunities to gather.
  • Meet the Colorado Master Gardeners-Weld County and learn how to start a backyard compost.  Ask any gardening questions you may have for the experts!
  • Meet live raptors from Nature's Educators. Get an up-close look at live raptors, learn their stories and connect with the environment to understand the importance of conservation.  
  • Try your hand at looming with Ellen and learn more about her nonprofit Passing Hats whose mission is to add warmth and comfort to every cancer patient through a hat made with love.
  • Check out one of our local llamas. You've seen them. Now come and meet them!
  • Meet our first responders from the Frederick-Firestone Fire Protection District and Touch-A-Truck.
  • Be sure to check out the Renewal by Anderson booth this year to see how efficiently their windows block heat. 
  • Stop by the Weld County Division Booth and meet Tina Booton. She can let you know all about weed identification and proper spraying.
  • The Carbon Valley Library will be bringing in the bookmobile. 
  • Meet local photographers and check out their cool equipment. Be sure to bring your camera for tips and tricks to take great pictures. Use your new skills and enter our contest to be in our 2020 Built on What Matters Calendar!
  • Take a swing at our Bella Rosa Golf Course putting green challenge and get some great tips from Tim Schwartz - Head Golf Professional & General Manager.
  • Jump, run, flip and climb with Airborne Gymnastics. All ninjas, kids, and gymnasts are encouraged to take on the interactive challenge course. Just have your big person sign a waiver and you're ready to tumble!
  • The Town of Frederick POST Commission is bringing in a mountain biking course, a fleet of mountain bikes and professional instructors provided by Avid4 Adventure. 
  • Interstate Ford will have a vehicle and mechanic on hand to demonstrate basic car maintenance and give you some hands-on experience.
