Frederick Power & Light is a municipally owned enterprise system providing Frederick customers with electric services within the original town boundaries since 1913. In 2013, the town decided to bring the operations and maintenance of this utility in-house. This decision provides a cost-effective option for our customers with a stable rate structure, reliable electric service and great customer service.

The Town is currently looking into the viability of expanding the electric utility to include the entire town. This map shows Frederick Power & Light's current service. For more information, check out the resources below.
