Art Show at Bella Rosa - Revolving - The Arts Commission coordinates a revolving art show at the Clubhouse at Bella Rosa Golf Course. The revolving schedule allows the Commission to showcase area artists and provides artists some local exposure and an opportunity to offer their works for sale through the Pro Shop (and at commission rates far below those in galleries.) The works of 2-4 artists are featured in month-long shows. For more information on how to participate, call Town Hall (720.382.5500.)

Fishing Clinic - Held at Milavec Lake within the Frederick Recreation Area, the Fishing Clinic is sponsored jointly by the Colorado Division of Wildlife and the Frederick Police Department. This is a Saturday morning event that begins at 8:30 AM and concludes at noon. During that time children (and their parents) receive instruction from wildlife managers on all aspects of fishing. Most participants have their lines and bait in the water well before noon – and many catch fish. All participants are encouraged to bring their own fishing gear. Keep your eye on the Town's website and your local newspaper for additional information.

Santa Cops -This community effort begins in the fall and culminates just before the Christmas holiday with the providing of gifts to needy children. In Frederick, that means that police officers, citizens and family members identify children and families with children that need help with Christmas. The families that qualify for this attention will be in financial distress and lack the ability to do much for the children at Christmas time. Fundraising is a year round effort that involves many parts of the community, such as private businesses, individual citizens, and civic organizations. Nominations are received at the police department in the fall until mid-November. A task force of local elves then goes on a shopping trip to obtain as many of the requested gifts as possible. This effort is usually highly successful. On a Saturday in December, the children are then brought by their families to the police station to meet with Santa Claus and receive their wrapped Christmas presents.
