In an effort to learn more about the questions and ideas of the residents of Frederick, three events have been scheduled to take place throughout the community as part of the “Seeking to Build Community Listening Tour”. Attendees will be invited to participate in a discussion and brainstorming session about the needs and future of the community and also participate in a brief survey that will assist the Board of Trustees and Town staff in gaining a better understanding of the opinions of Frederick residents. These events are scheduled for the following dates and times:
- Monday, February 8, 3-4:30 p.m. (Prairie Greens Club House, 6201 Frederick Way)
- Tuesday, February 9, 5-6:30 p.m. (Town Hall, 401 Locust Street)
- Tuesday, February 16, 7-8:30 p.m. (FFFPD Fire Station #2, 3991 Rowe Street)
The Mayor, several Board Members, and the Town Administrator will be in attendance at each of these events to listen and share with residents. This unique opportunity will allow residents to meet neighbors and friends in the community and provide valuable input to the Board of Trustees about the progression of the Town.
Mayor Doering stated, “This is an important outreach and communication opportunity that the Board and I feel is important to visit with the residents of Frederick. We look forward to a stimulating discussion and learning more about what people in Frederick envision for the future of our community. In an effort to be available to the public outside the normal business meetings of the town, this informal opportunity to visit will give our residents a unique understanding of the current activities in the town and provide each citizen a chance to share their hopes and dreams for their town. We have tried to schedule these events to meet a variety of schedules in the community.”
