The Town of Frederick has had a long tradition of sending out newsletters to its residents every few months to report on events and programs that have taken place in the town. However, during the Fall of 2009, the town committed to the creation and distribution of a monthly, information-rich municipal news publication structured for quick access to current community news items and upcoming events that would be delivered to not only residents, but also to businesses and every other property within the town.
Previous newsletters consisted of multiple pages sent out as an independent mailing. However, the newly re-formatted version of the “Frederick Report” consists of more concise articles on one front-to-back, easy to read, one-color printed page that is distributed with the town’s utility bills, saving the town thousands of dollars per year in printing and distributions costs. The publication which also includes a quick-reference listing of upcoming meetings and events is now sent out consistently at the beginning of each month providing the residential and business recipients with a current and predictable news source.
This re-structured, cost-saving format of the “Frederick Report” has been produced now for two months (attached), with the January 2010 edition having been mailed out last week to properties in Frederick and now available on the town’s website (www.frederickco.gov). For further details about the modified “Frederick Report” or for specifics regarding the town’s continual efforts to enhance its ability to distribute helpful information, please contact Town Administrator Derek Todd at dtodd@frederickco.gov or 720-382-5500.
