The Engineering Department is managed by the Town Engineer and includes the Engineering and Building Divisions of the Town. The Engineering Division manages the planning, design, construction and operations of the water supply and distribution systems, the storm drainage utility, and transportation facilities for the Town. The Town’s Electric Utility is managed by Engineering through an agreement with United Power. This division also manages the wetlands area that is being planned as an educational resource for the community along Highway 52. The Engineering Division reviews proposed developments to ensure they comply with standards for all of these areas. Development agreements for public infrastructure improvements associated with new development are coordinated by the Engineering Division. The Town Engineer represents the Town in planning for regional transportation and water resource needs.
