The Finance Department’s ultimate responsibility is to keep the Mayor, Town Board, Administrator, and department heads informed of the financial condition of the town. This is done through monthly financial statements in the form of Fund Accounting. These statements are the summary of revenues and expenditures for each fund. They compare those amounts with what has been budgeted and also list assets and liabilities for each fund.
