The Town Clerk's office plays an integral role in the smooth, ongoing function of the Town government. The Town Clerk maintains all of the Town’s laws, records, and ordinances; certifies copies of municipal records and the Town Seal, and records all proceedings of the Board of Trustees’ meetings. The Town Clerk’s office also administers all local regular and special elections.
The Town Clerk also provides business licenses and liquor licenses to local businesses following successful application therefore, and the Clerk is responsible for publishing notices of all elections, public hearings, and other events as required by law.
