Banner Health to Open Medical Campus in Frederick
NCMC, Inc., the Board of Directors for North Colorado Medical Center, has contracted with the Frederick Development Group to purchase 50 acres of land near the intersection of I-25 and SH-52 in Frederick in southern Weld County for development as a medical campus. Closing on the land purchase is anticipated by mid-summer, 2008.
New Trustees
Gerald ("Gerry") Pfirsch, Amy Schiers, and current Mayor Pro-Tem Sue Wedel were the only candidates to file petitions to run for the three open seats on the Board of Trustees. Current Mayor Eric Doering was the only candidate to file a petition to run for Mayor.
All Board Meetings Now On Tuesdays!
As of April 8th, 2008, all meetings and work sessions of the Board of Trustees are on Tuesdays, instead of Thursdays.
Voluntary Watering Restrictions
At the regular Board meeting on March 27, 2008, the Board of Trustees voted to implement voluntary watering restrictions for the warm weather months in Frederick. These restrictions are in effect as of April 1, 2008.

Annual Community Cleanup Day coming soon!
In an effort to help citizens keep their properties clean and free of unwanted debris, the Town of Frederick will hold its annual Community Cleanup Day on May 17, 2008. On that date, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Frederick residents may bring trash to the drop-off point, located at the Town of Frederick Public Works facility (5949 Weld County Road 16), and the Town of Frederick will dispose of it for no charge.

With its proximity to the Denver metro area and other population, employment, and education centers, Frederick has experienced dynamic growth over the past several years. Projections show that the growth will continue in southwest Weld County and will ultimately create one of northern Colorado's major population centers.
