The Town of Frederick will hold a mail ballot election for three open Board of Trustee positions on April 3, 2018. Ballots will be mailed beginning March 12, so registered voters can expect to receive their ballots during the second half of March. The trustees currently holding these positions are Rafer Burnham, Donna Hudziak and Fred Skates. Burnham is term-limited after serving on the Board of Trustees for eight years.
New Colorado residents, or residents who have changed their address within the state, are encouraged to register to vote or change their address at www.govotecolorado.com.
Voter registration is also available at Frederick’s Town Hall (401 Locust St.), the Weld County Clerk’s office, any motor vehicle office or drivers’ license office within Colorado. Questions about voter registration can be directed to Frederick Town Clerk, Meghan Martinez at 720.382.5500.
The Carbon Valley Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a candidate forum on Thursday March 8th 6:00-8:00 p.m. at St. Brigit Episcopal Church (110 Johnson Street, Frederick). Residents are encouraged to come and hear from the candidates running in this year’s election.
